Español: Este edificio fue construido en el año 1854, por requerimiento de la sociedad minera que administraba el ferrocarril de Copiapó, se ubicaba entre el antiguo callejón del Rey y el callejón de Los Toros, en el sector de La Chimba. Actualmente la calle Juan Martínez.

Es un edificio de gran dimensión, su perímetro es rodeado por una cornisa de madera de pino de Oregón, con un estilo neoclásico, su entrada principal consta de un gran portal de doble puerta, sobre el cual descansa el campanario. Tiene 10 ventanas tipo guillotinas, con barrotes de hierro forjado y pilares de madera, adosados a las paredes.

La construcción es típica de la época, con base de piedras canteadas, estructuras de madera de roble, pino Oregón y cañas revestidas con barro.
